Overview

I have been using Swappa for over 3 years and it has been a great service to me. On Swappa you buy phones from trusted sellers across the nation. You can read reviews of the seller you want to buy from and you can even negotiate phone prices with them. The customer support is top-notch and you buy the phone of your choice at a discounted price.

Check out the pros and cons of buying on Swappa below.

Pros

  1. Buy phones at a great price (from 25-50% or more).
  2. Trusted sellers - you pick who you buy from!
  3. Huge Selection of Phones.
  4. Safer than eBay or Craigslist.
  5. Great Customer Service
  6. You can get a refund for the phone up to 6 months since it's through Paypal.

Cons

  1. The only form of payment you can use is through Paypal.
  2. You have to pay extra for expedited shipping - but only if you want to.

Why to Use Swappa Instead of eBay or Craigslist

The most important reason to use Swappa instead of eBay or Craigslist is the fact that Swappa doesn't allow any listings of junk devices. This means that no defective devices are allowed to be posted on Swappa except for in a special category called the Boneyard. The phone you buy will not have a cracked screen or have any electronic defects.

If you do receive a phone that is damaged then you can return the phone and receive a full refund through Paypal.  You would be extremely lucky to ever get a refund from a person selling you a phone on Craigslist so Swappa is a much better option.

Overall

You won't be disappointed using Swappa. I've been using them for over 3 years and have never had an issue with them. You will find a fantastic phone at a great price from the seller you choose. Not only that, but you can find almost any phone you are looking for.

I would choose to use Swappa over eBay and Craigslist anyday because of its ease and buyer protection.
